JB Facon Education Fair (15-16 Dec 2012)

Although I had been helping in some education fairs and Open Day for quite some time, I was so excited as it was the first time I had the chance to be outstation at Johor Bahru! :) Let's view some of the photos that I have taken in JB. :)

First night in Senai @ Le Grandeur Palm Resort Johor

Nice environment in the resort
The X'mas tree in the resort & it looks really nice :)
Look closer & you will notice that they using recycled bottle to make it.
P/S: Jason & Cheng Mun, maybe we can have this idea too during next round of Environmental Week. XD

First Day of Exhibition @ Persada Johor International Convention Centre.  :)
Second night in JB @ Austin Paradise Hotel. :)

Another collection of my Exhibitor Tag. woohooo :D

This was the first time that I counseled so many school leavers, especially those who are interested in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Actuarial Studies. Although there were no registration in JB, we actually got quite many enquries and some of them were really interested to come for our Open Day next year. Hope to see them soon in APU Open Day! :)

Even though I talked until sore throat, it was a really good experience and I enjoyed it very much! :) If anyone wants to know more about APU courses on Accounting, Finance and Quantitative Studies, you can find me and I will explain until you understand. This is what a senior who has been studying Accounting and Finance specialism in Forex and Investments for 1.5 years can do. :D Anyhow, I wish all my juniors best in luck and enjoy yea! :)

A.P.U Commercial Shooting

Tuesday was a memorable day as it was my first experience to involve in such a shooting. At 6pm, I reached Auditorium 3 with friends, and we sat at the corner. So, I don't think our face or even our back will appear in the video. :(

We started to wait from 6pm and the shooting of this scene finished at 8.15pm. We chit-chat, sang songs, and enjoyed ourselves during the long wait. :-)

While waiting, I took the photo of our  main actress
The main actress is so pretty. Don't believe? Let me show another photo which I took from my friend's Facebook. xD

See? I really love her eyes. :-)

As I was involved in the last scene at Cafeteria, so after dinner, we had to stay and finished up the last scene. It was another relax & free time. I guess the director want to have natural feeling, so it's really freestyle. :-) At the end, we finished at about 10.15pm.

It was an enjoyable night, however, I stayed until night with a heavy flu, but yet I don't know if my face will be in the outcome of the production or not. :( Anyhow, it was a really good experience, and this experience will only happen once in my lifetime, so I am sure it's worthy. :D

Seminar @ Securities Commission

On Monday, I attended a seminar with some of my classmates at Securities Commission which located at Persiaran Bukit Kiara. The speaker was Mr. Iqbal Khan and it was about Islamic Finance. The talk was way too tough for us to understand as we are undergraduates with no basic of Islamic Finance. Many who attended the talk were Master or PhD. students, and some are already working. It's not only me, even my lecturer didn't understand and she was trying her very best not to falling asleep. So, please forgive me for actually fell asleep. XD
The photo was taken while waiting for the VIPs~

The speaker - Iqbal Khan who get the Royal Award of Islamic Finance
I am pretty sure that if you have some basic and knowledge of Islamic banking, you would gain more ideas about it as he's really good in his area. I really hope that I will meet someone expert in banking and investment so that I can gain more practical knowledge in the area. :D

World AIDS Day Volunteer

1st of December, is not only A.P.U. Graduation, it is also World AIDS Day which held annually. As usual, I went to help PT Foundation as volunteer for the 3rd consecutive year. :) There are some changes in this year, as PT Foundation's activities fell on Sunday only, so we as the roving angels, went to work on Sunday only. Besides, the location is no longer at Sg Wang Plaza like the past 10 years, but at Times Square. And we got chased out by the security guards from the inside of the main entrance. We lost our super good spot to grab donations from public. :(

So we ended up no choice, but to compete with many other teams at the boulevard. :(

thanks to the flash mob, we managed to grab more donations during the 5 minutes. :)
you can fly yourself up to almost the roof top by donating RM30! One Chinese lady with LV bag  let her few kids flew up there! so damn rich~ :D

Before leaving, me and one of my granddaughters took a photo with the Red Ribbon balloon :D
For this year, the team who got the most donation is entitled to get sponsored Estee Lauder products. I hope our team will get it as we really worked and tried hard. :D Anyway, even if we are not able to win it, I am still satisfied with what we have done today, as we are able to collect a few hundred ringgit donations from the public which will be used to help the communities. It is just one of the ways that I could help in contributing to the communities to live a better life, I wish that I could contribute even more to the societies in the future to achieve my LOVE LIFE, GOOD LIFE theme. XD

Graduation Day December 2012

1st of December simply means starting of another month to me; but to some of the A.P.U. students, it indicates the end of their university lives. Yes, it's the Graduation Day! Congratulations to all of the graduates and I wish you all the best of luck. :-)

I feel glad to be one of the ushers that helped in the event. By the way, my graduation crew tag was much more popular than myself as a few parents took photo of it during the event instead of taking photo of me who wearing it. Haha!!

After seeing the students graduated, I realized that I only have 3 more semesters to go and I will be one of the graduates who sitting there! So, I have decided that I shall live my remaining 1 year+ university life to the fullest, and give myself a real GOOD LIFE and BEST MEMORIES. :-)

CLCS meeting

Today after finished working for SU-APU T-shirt collection at L1-3, I managed to join Chinese Language Cultural Society (CLCS) meeting with Kian Shin and Haw Jeh. We entered the meeting kinda late, however, luckily that we get the information from the new president on their planning of activities.

Besides of the activities on event-based, such as Chinese New Year, Mooncake Festival, there will be Chinese Cultural Camp, Chinese tea learning class and etc etc. I am looking forward to the Chinese New Year event. ANGPAU PLEASE! xD

This photo was taken when the attendees were playing games after being divided into 2 groups. Congratulations to CLCS for going international as there are international students, who do not know Chinese at all, also joined the session. Thanks to CLCS to promote the Chinese culture to other students from other countries, really proud of you :)

Before the end, as promised, the video of MCN will be posted. Please click the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PluKSXaP5ok&feature=youtu.be to view some of our lecturers and staffs great performance! :) Last but not least, thanks to Yee Chee for borrowing the handphone to take the video even though quality isn't that good~

MCN 24/11/2012

Saturday night was the event, Multicultural Night which held by APU at South City Plaza. It was a great night with many awesome performances by APU students. I was impressed that the arrangement of the event was quite well, too. Salute to all who contributed to the events as it was a really good show & great job to all. :)

She is Tebby from Botswana, who won Female Champion in Palma 2012, and I really like the way she sings Gemilang (by Jaclyn Victor). Although I didn't manage to record the video of her in MCN 2012, you can just click the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6FG2VYKym0&feature=share to watch her performance in Palma 2012 which is being broadcast in TV2. The awesomeness level is just the same! :)

There are some videos which will be uploaded sooner or later. Stay tuned! :D

Recent Life @ APU

On Wednesday, most of the Accounting & Finance students attended a talk which held at M-Room 19. There were 2 speakers, Peter Tai & Prof. Ho.

This photo was taken when Peter Tai was giving speeches. By the way, I think he just wanted to promote his academy school in order to get more students joining his so-called investment classes. And the ridiculous part is that, he only accepts those who are bilingual in English and Chinese. LOL!

He is an economists and his talk was interesting when he relates politics election to inflation. However, I don't think foreign students understood what he said, as he talked about politicians and political parties such as BN, Pakatan, DAP, PAS and etc. He should give a more global speech instead of localizing it, so that everyone who attended the seminar can understand it.

Anyway, I've got my first APU shirt! And you guess what, I took size XS. You don't believe? Zoom in and see! It's size XS!! Real XS size!! Haha. It's my first ever XS shirt that I got in my life. Awwwwww~ So touching~~~ :'-)

By the way, many of my friends are not satisfied with the super RED colour of the shirts. But I am pretty fine with it and I've suggested that all of us should wear APU shirt and go house-by-house to take angpau during Chinese New Year. Isn't that very cool? Anyone interested to join? Haha~

P/S: Anyone who hasn't get the shirt, please do the survey at http://webspace.apiit.edu.my/links/iGraduate/, and collect it at L1-3 before 7 Dec 2012. Then join me for angpau collection during Chinese New Year with this shirt! XD

History of the Blog and the Founder

LoveLife.GoodLife was founded and copyrighted by Wong Li Kien in 20 Nov 2012. xD
The founder is not a blogger, but a soon-to-be blogger. :D

The title of the blog is inspired by a program, known as Love Life. This program was founded by a few Taiwanese artists and supported by many other celebrities. They made a documentary of three 15 years old girls who were diagnosed with cancer but were brave enough to live and inspire others in their remaining time. I think most of the Chinese will know about this as it was a really hot topic at that point of time.

Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNMm2NlUZoU. It's really super duper touching and inspiring. If you consider yourself as a warm-blooded person, just spend some time to watch it. It worth it as you will be learning something.

LoveLife.GoodLife. Love your life, will lead you to a good life. It's what I believe and what I hope I can achieve. :-)
